The 3 Types of Cloud Services Business Owners Use

While other people are still figuring out how cloud computing contributes to small and midsize business owners, it’s best to give an overview of cloud computing is.

Cloud computing helps businessmen save up time through its endless capabilities of improving convergence and innovation. As cloud hosting facilitates email services, sharing of information, data storage and web-based home systems, the approximate boost on productivity expands in a short period of time. Moreover, cloud computing may be used as a storage and an application host, making it cost-effective and one of a kind.

Cloud computing is used by different kinds of people, from private to public entities such as corporations, education systems, government agencies and organizations. The accessibility of cloud computing helps people store data on multiple devices, making it remotely capable to send and receive messages.

Here are 3 types of cloud services that may be used to sustain data services of business owners.

1. Private Cloud

The good thing about this is your control over your cloud platform. A private cloud is something that is built on your own software and hardware and could be managed by your personal IT team. Through this, you will be able to have exclusive access to your cloud and will not worry about third party intrusion of your files.

2. Public Cloud

This is a type of cloud which is facilitated by a third party cloud-service provider. Since there is a service provider for business owners, they save up a lot of money from expediting their data and system resources. The cloud-service provider will manage maintenance and security for a wide scope of employees and customers.

3. Hybrid Cloud

I highly recommend a hybrid cloud for starters. This kind of cloud maintains both public and private services. While a private cloud is in-house, a public cloud is described as off-site. The good thing about this is the fact that private cloud can save the most sensitive files, and the public cloud can save the less sensitive ones. It may be a challenge to maintain this type of cloud, but it will give you a capability of filtering all your data. It’s also an opportunity for you to categorize your sensitive and less sensitive files.

What is the down side of cloud computing?

While cloud computing helps business owners to save up on managing their files and services, they also fear that the security of their data may be at risk. Whenever there are drawbacks and problems, the business owner will need to take time to teach personnel how to troubleshoot.

In cloud computing, sensitive data should be stored accordingly, in order to avoid unauthorized users, because its vulnerability to intrusion is at high risk. The positive side of this is the existence of hybrid cloud, where data can be strained.

Weighing the risks and benefits may definitely be a challenge for business owners, because the number one concern is keeping their data safe from other parties.
